Rory Dean Ivey was born on November 5, 1996, in Denver, Colorado. From the beginning, he had a way of making everyone around him smile. His laughter, curiosity, and joyful spirit filled every room he entered. To his family, he wasn't defined by illness; he was simply Rory

The Fight
Nov 5, 1996
Rory is born.
11 Months
A small growth appears on his shoulder.
14 Months
Diagnosed with Pleomorphic Rhabdomyosarcoma.
1998-1999
Chemotherapy, countless hospital visits, and constant prayers. Rory never stopped smiling.
Early 1999
Rory is in remission for two months
Summer 1999
The cancer returns in Rory's lungs. Our family prepared for the most difficult chapter of our journey, cherishing every moment together, and his smile never left him.
His Greatest Wish
Rory was granted a wish by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Mom, Dad, Auston, and Kevin traveled to Disney World. It was an amazing seven days, filled with laughter, magic, and memories that our family will cherish forever.
For seven unforgettable days, cancer didn't win.
August 9, 1999
On August 9, 1999, Rory passed away peacefully at home while resting on his mother's chest
Although his time with us was short, his impact has lasted a lifetime.
